Jezli Pacheco – Artist

Artist Statement

History

My name is Jezli Pacheco, an artist with an ever developing art practice since the 90’s. Expect to see my work full of color and feeling. An ode to passion and life.

There’s honesty in my work and my speech. I layer life and career with dark lines of B/W art and the deep, colorful and expressive strokes of my paintings. Equally as strong thinking is part of who I am, so take me as I am. A torch bearer for my life goals.

My major influences are the colorful expansiveness of the Expressionism era that at times bordered on the fantastical weird. I started this great adventure watching the work of Nicaraguan Masters and a desire to expand and better my own skills.

That knowledge and drive was infectious, I hope it catches you too, and may want to own my work as well.

Today, my work is owned by people in the US and Australia and working to make a full circle around the world.

Time and experience teaches you to decide if you’re going to continue or give up. 35 years later, I can say I am a lifelong artist. We artists learn that it is at first an obsession, then it becomes a Calvary, ultimately a curse and finally our most treasured blessing and redemption.

I am an artist, amen to that.

Thanks for considering my work. – JezliP
